Route planner questions
What is an aircraft route planner?
A way to plan a multi-stop trip in one go: add each airport with your arrival and departure times, choose the ground services you need, and every FBO at each stop is asked to quote.
How many stops can a route have?
Up to 8 stops, with the first and last arrivals no more than 60 days apart.
Which times do I enter?
Local time at each airport. WhatFBO converts them, so you enter what the clock at that airport will say.
Is the fuel estimate for flight planning?
No. Distance, flight time and fuel are indicative, worked out from typical figures for your aircraft type, to help with fuel quotes. They make no allowance for wind, routing, weight or reserves.
What is in the route brief?
A PDF for every airport on the route with its aerodrome category and details, security information where available, and crew health guidance, emailed to you after you send the route.
Does it cost anything?
The Route Planner is free to use with a WhatFBO account. FBOs set their own prices in the quotes they send you.
